Anyone want to guess what our son is getting for his birthday? Here is a hint!

If you guessed kitten you are right! We thought that five is old enough to take care of a pet and instill the love of animals. Hubby and I lost our last cat when I was pregnant with our son just over five years ago. We’ve talked about getting a cat over the last three years. Next week our son will turn five but he gets this present a little early. Yesterday I stopped at the dollar store and picked out a couple cat things. I’m wrapping them up and he will find them in the morning at his place at the breakfast table. I’m pretty sure he will guess right away, grandma has a cat and lots of cat toys so I don’t think it will take him long to know what the items mean. 

Tomorrow afternoon we will visit the shelter and let him pick out his very own cat.
