When my son was little I gathered some of my mom friends and we had our very own coop preschool in my living room. It was great! I loved teaching and my son had a great time. As he got a little older it was time for him to have someone else as a teacher and our weekly preschool stopped meeting.
Fast forward now Little Miss is getting big enough to enjoy the interactions of other babies it’s time to start another preschool. However this time it will be a business. I just finished the arduous task of becoming licensed and now it is time to launch…..

Bring your little one for a morning of play, songs, art and socializing. Conveniently located at the top of Queen Anne. Situated in our family’s grand craftsman home, my classes provide that comforting feeling of home that little ones need in their first preschool experience. Class sizes are small and I personally teach all classes myself. This provides each child with individualized attention as they develop socially, emotionally, and physically. Caregivers are always welcome to stay, but morning preschool classes are drop-off so that you have time to run errands, schedule a doctor appointment or simply go to the grocery store on your own!
Typical daily schedule:
10-10:30 Student arrival and open play
10:30-11 Clean up and circle time
11-11:30 Stations
11:30-12 Lunch (provided)
12-12:30 Free play and Closing circle
12:30-1 Outside Play Time
About Amanda Van Dyck:
I am passionate about early childhood education and committed to offering a wide range of quality experiences to kids in my care. My days are filled with singing and dancing, playing with play-dough and getting my fingers messy with paint. I have a current Washington State K-8 teacher certificate and have taught in Seattle Public Schools for 11 years, in addition to 4 years teaching pre-school. At Queen Anne Kids, I am a fully licensed in-home childcare provider. I have two wonderful children of my own and live, work and play at the top of Queen Anne.
